Sources of information about the Sultanate perio
1- Tarikh-e-Firozshahi -
The author of Tithi-e-Firozshahi is Ziauddin Barani. This writer was a contemporary of Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq, Mohammed bin Tughlaq, and Firoz Tughlaq. Barani has written the history from Balwant to Firoz Tughlaq.
2- Tarikh-e-Firozshahi -
Shammas-e- Siraj Afif wrote this book. The author himself was a member of the court of Firoz Tughlaq.
3- Tarikh-e-Mubarakshahi-
Yahiya bin Ahmed composed this book, the description of the kingdom of the sultans till the Sayyid dynasty (1414-51) is found in it.
4-Chachanama-
This book tells the history of the conquest of Sindh by the Arabs. Initially this book was written in Arabic language. It was later translated into Persian by Muhammad Ali bin Abubakar Kufi during the time of Nasiruddin Qubacha.
5 Taj-ul-Masir-
This book was composed by Hasan Nizami. This book describes the events of the period from 1192 AD to 1228 AD. The life and rule of Qutbuddin Aibak and the early years of Iltutmish's kingdom are described in this book.
6- Tawakat-e-Nasri-
Minhaj Us Siraj was the author of this book. History up to 1620 AD and direct description of Muhammad Ghori's conquest of India is available in this book.
7-Kamil-ut-Tawarikh-
Sheikh Abdul Hasan was the author of a book, it was composed in 1230 AD. It describes the victory of Mohammad Ghori in India.
8- Tarikh-ul-Hind-
Alberuni, a great scholar of Arabic and Persian, composed this book. He studied Sanskrit language for many years while living in India and then translated many Sanskrit books into Arabic and Persian. Alberuni was a contemporary of Mahmud Ghaznabi.
9- Tarikh-e-Sindh / Tarikh-e-Masumi -
This book was composed by Mir Mohammad Masoom, it describes the cause of the Arabs to the Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great.
10- Kitab-ul-Mamini- Its author Utbi

16- Kitab - ul - Rehla -
This book has been composed by the Moorish traveler Ibn Battuta. Ibn Battuta came to India in 1333 AD during the time of Muhammad Tughlaq. He stayed in India for 9 years and served as Qazi of Delhi for 8 years.
17- Fatuh-us-Salatin-
